Participate
in all working group meetings; Approve all expenditures by the Arena Task
Force; Establish deadlines for recommendations to be made to the Arena
Task Force (Members may send a representative to Arena Task Force or working
group meetings).
Need,
Use and Benefit Working Group
Consider
current and future economic development opportunities of a new arena consistent
with Governor Fletcher's directive; Present to the Arena Task Force all
viable options for an arena regarding capacity, size, tenants, uses, etc;
Oversee economic impact studies; Identify potential consultants.
Site
Analysis Working Group
Present
to the Arena Task Force all potential sites for an arena consistent with
the Governor's directives; Address the economic and environmental impact,
property acquisition and infrastructure issues regarding each site.
Governance
Working Group
Indentify
potential owners and operators of a new arena and examine operating budgets,
maintenance and personnel needs.
Finance
Working Group
Identify
all costs associated with a new arena. Consider all viable means for financing
a new arena. Explore practical funding sources.
